Description
For those mastering on open waters and the vessel has a single-sideband radio license. A self-driven study guide with testing available online and at classroom locations.
We provide the study guide and FCC (Federal Communication Commission) test for the Marine Radio Operators Permit. The test is available at various locations and administration of the test is included in the fee. Our study guide was developed to help you understand the questions and answers, not just to pass a test through memorization. Through our study guide, you should obtain knowledge and understanding to pass the test.
MROPs are required to operate radiotelephone stations aboard certain vessels that sail the Great Lakes, aboard vessels of more than 300 gross tons, greater than 65 feet, and vessels that carry more than six passengers for hire in the open sea or any tidewater area of the United States. This permit is recommended for the Master Captain to be the overseer of the licensed radio operator and the vessel’s equipment on a USCG inspected vessel.
The MROP test will be administered by appointment at an agreed-proctored location.
